Research engineer and project manager

  1. -Technical project leader on behalf of LIVIC for the European project TRACKSS on intelligent sensors (2005-2008, 12 public and industrial partners)

  2. Software development of an active infrared-camera based identification sensor (active RFID). Supervision of the internal development of the electronics components. Planning, reporting, budget, prototype, demonstrations management. Management of a team of 5 (researcher, engineers, technician, trainees)

  3. Responsible partner within European project TRACKSS on behalf of LCPC. Leadership of sub-project “in-vehicle sensors and applications”, with 4 partners. Animation of the sub-project, partitipation in developments, prototype integration, human-machine interfaces, tests and demonstrations design.

  4. Animation and management of techical partnerships with Bosch, Fiat, Newcastle University: road hazard detection by infrastructure-vehicle communication using my infrared sensor and ZigBee “smartdust” motes. Road sign detection, intelligent traffic light, vehicle-to-vehicle alert, ice detection.

  5. Results: Patent “Optical Vahicle Identification”, scientific IEEE conference papers, public and professional demonstrations, TV interview (M6, France)

  6. -Co-designer of the “WPS” WiFi Positioning System (2007-2008, 5 persons)

  7. Software design of Linux prototype, with a researcher. I was responsible for the localization engine and my colleague for the cartographic interface.

  8. Port on PDA Java/Windows Mobile architecture. Trainees management. Demonstrations design.

  9. Results: WPS patent, paper and demonstrations. Professional and public demonstrations.

  10. -Contribution to the ARCOS French project on future intelligent vehicles, with Peugeot, Valeo, Ecole des Mines de Paris... (2001-2005)

  11. Development, within the « vision » team, of a state-of-the-art obstacle detection and emergency breaking application

  12. Design and development of an automatic longitudinal control algorithm (automatic vehicle following)

  13. Project leader « Experimental prototype vehicles equipment » (4 engineers + subcontracting)
